Assalamualaikum.
This will be a short and sweet entry. At least, I will try to make it short. Sometimes, I tend to ramble on and on. I am sorry for that.
Three quotes on giving:
1. When we shift from being takers to being givers, the relationship always gets better.
2. True givers does not focus on return. It focuses on the gift. The giver gifts without conditions then moves mental energy right away to the next person to give to, and never looks back.
3. Accomplished givers become filled with self-respect. They are not giving in order to get happiness in return. The happiness is already there. It energizes the act of giving.
In Islam, the act of giving is really important. Allah swt had mentioned in the Quran as below:
The guiding of them is not thy duty (O Muhammad), but Allah guideth whom He will. And whatsoever good thing ye spend, it is for yourselves, when ye spend not save in search of Allah's Countenance; and whatsoever good thing ye spend, it will be repaid to you in full, and ye will not be wronged.
Let's be a giver, and do it with an open heart.
